Many law firms want modern practice-management software but are rightly cautious about putting confidential client data on the cloud. LegalSmart runs entirely on the firm’s own machines and works without an internet connection, so the firm keeps full ownership of its files.

How it works

LegalSmart is one self-contained Windows program. Everything it needs is bundled inside, so it installs like any other program and is ready in minutes.

    Install on one computer and start working. The firm’s data lives in a local database on that machine.

  • Office network setupالتشغيل على شبكة المكتب

    Optional. One office PC acts as the shared hub, and the other lawyers’ computers connect to it over the office network (LAN) — so the whole firm works from one set of data, still entirely inside the office.

Security and privacy

LegalSmart is designed so that the firm’s data stays in the office by default, and is protected inside it.

    Data is kept on the firm’s own computers unless the firm chooses otherwise.

  • Strong encryption for the vaultتشفير قوي للخزنة

    Vault files are encrypted with AES-256 and modern password hardening. Optional vault backups stay encrypted end to end — they cannot be read on the hub without the lawyer’s key.

    Each person signs in with their own account, and role-based permissions control what they can see and do.

LegalSmart is licensed per computer and per user: one computer with several users, or several computers with their own users — every user is licensed. Activation uses a license code that works offline.

Questions and answers

Does LegalSmart work without internet?

Yes. Daily work runs fully offline. Only optional features need a connection: online backup, central-server sync, the AI assistant, video conferencing, QR workflows, and government and judicial e-services.

How is LegalSmart licensed?

Per computer and per user. You can license one computer with several users, or several computers each with its own users — every user is licensed. Licenses are monthly or yearly.

Can we import our data from Excel?

Yes. LegalSmart imports clients and cases from .xlsx, .xls and .csv files, with a preview so you choose exactly which rows to bring in. Other data can be added to the import on request.

How is our data backed up?

You can choose optional online backup to NOVENTIS servers. Files in the encrypted vault can also be backed up, encrypted end to end.

Can each user choose Arabic or English?

Yes. Each user can switch the interface between Arabic and English.

How long does installation take?

LegalSmart installs like any Windows program and is ready in minutes. Training for your team is available remotely or at your office under a training agreement.

Is there a free trial?

There is no trial version. We come to your office and show you LegalSmart working live.

What support do we get?

Phone, WhatsApp and email support at any time. Remote-access support is available during official working hours, and outside them at an additional cost.

Are updates included?

Updates come with an optional updates subscription. Without it, your installed version keeps working as it is.

What happens if a license is not renewed?

LegalSmart shows a warning and keeps working for two more days. After that it opens to the activation screen until the license is renewed. Your data stays stored on your computer and is available again as soon as you renew.

Which versions of Windows does it run on?

Windows 7 and later, including Windows 10 and 11.
